NameTENCZA, JOSEPH DateSunday, April 8, 2007 Obituary NoticeJoseph Tencza, age 62, passed away April 8, 2007 in Denver, Colorado. He was born August 29, 1944 to Joseph J. and Marguerite (Schroeder) Tencza. Col. Tencza retired from the Air Force after 27 years of service. He was a decorated Vietnam Veteran. He prided himself in his service to his country and his care of his family. He was an avid jogger having run the Honolulu Marathon several times as well as the Pikes Peak Ascent and many other local races. He also enjoyed working out at the Air Force Academy Community Gym. He was also known for his involvement in volunteer projects, and working with Martin Luther Homes and District 20 Schools. Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Frances; his daughter, Haven M. (and husband Ben) Amacher; his son, Mike W. (and wife Gretchen) Tencza; and his brother, Bill Tencza. He is also survived by five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2007 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2007 at the Shrine of Remembrance with a prayer service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Private interment at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's memory to the charity of the giver's choice. |

Pettit passed away December 19, 2007 at Angela Hospice, Livonia, with his family by his side. He was ordained at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral by Cardinal Mooney in 1954. His first mass was at St Mary's of Redford. He was then assigned to St Ambrose, Grosse Pointe Park, 1954, St. Timothy, Trenton, 1959, St. Joseph and Newman Center Chapel, Port Huron, 1964. He then became Pastor at St. Catherine and St. Edward (Detroit) 1969, St. Pius, Southgate, 1970, St. Norbert, Inkster, 1972 and then Pastor at St. Kenneth, Plymouth, 1978, were he stayed until his retirment in 1997. He then moved to Livonia as Senior Clergy. Fr. Pettit loved to golf and travel the world. He will be dearly missed. He is the dear of brother of Cyril. Loving uncle of Margaret (Ed) Goward, also survived by many more loving nieces and nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by parents Cyril and Helen, sisters Margaret Boice and Harriet Flower and by brother Joseph (and wife Mary Jane). Father Pettit will lie in state on Friday December 21, 2007, begining 12 noon at St. Kenneth Catholic Church, 14951 Haggerty Rd, Plymouth, and will conclude with a Scripture Service at 7:30 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10 am, with visitation begining at 9 am. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Schrader-Howell Funeral Home,Plymouth. |

She was 56 years old. She is survived by her beloved husband, George Robinson; sons, Jeffrey and Steven Robinson; brothers, Matt Rice of Chagrin Falls, OH, Edward (Donna) Rice of Houston, TX; sister, Janet (Paul) Reins of Harrisville, MI; nephews and nieces, Chelsea, Lindsey, Haley, Mattie, Matthew, Kristine, and Kimberly Rice, and Dominic and Joseph Magliocco; her mother-in-law, Mary Ellen Robinson, and many dear friends. Patricia's family would like to offer a special thank you to Nancy Peter for all of the love and care given to her best friend of forty-five years, and to thank all of the employees of the Red Dog for their abundant support. Patricia had retired from EDS, where she worked as a Director of sales for many years, and for the past four years has enjoyed operating the Red Dog Saloon in Milford with her husband.
