Class Prophecies

We shall now take a look into the future of St. Norbert's class of '62. First we see Allen Jarembo piloting a Pan-American Liner designed by Raymond Bihun. The hostesses are Florence Fry and Carol Bilicki. On board are Sandi Brittain and Margi Parnis still together. They are flying home to their ranch from their dress designing office in New York, which is run by the proprietor and owner Thomas Forsell. Darrell Hnizdor has become a professional thinker and has named the building "Par Brittain". As we land, we find Pat Gurczynski and Theresa Kistler owners of a sight-seeing agency. One of the customers happens to be Chris Kowalczewski who is now a famous artist. Next we stop at St. Mary's Hospital where student nurses Pam Blackford, Carol McMenamy, Beverly Patal and Sue Seale tell us why the great criminal lawyer Chuck Vella is hanging around. It seems Dave Prange and James Vergona chief residents are suing Cathi Garcia and Janis Kendra because a couple of sponges were missing after an operation. Sharyn Swistock and Bill Wyler, local reporters are anxiously awaiting the latest scoop for their paper which is owned and operated by Earnest Peter. Next door Diane Kendra is styling Donna Beniek's hair in the latest style, as tonight she is giving a piano concert in Carnegie Hall. As we cross the street, we come to St. Luke's Church and meet the Pastor, Father Gerald Snider and his assistant Father Joseph Servantez. Georgia Robertson, now Sister Eileen Agnes has become principal with Connie Moore, Patricia Healy and Joanne Redoutey being a few of the lay teachers on the staff. Dave Zink, Lee Weiss and James O'Donnell have been studying under the supervision of Professor Peter Doren. They seem to be working on some sort of experiment at the present time. Larry Wade just got the leading role in "The Football and the Fury", co-starring Sandi Bostwick and directed by Dennis Gootee. One of the actors on the set, Charles Wherle, who plays the part of a fellow football player, has come up with a toothache and is on his way over to Rocco Yacobelli, who is the leading dentist in town. Music for the picture is being supplied by the great director of jazz, Michael Daly. As members of his famous band, we find Thomas Pacholski and Paul Szumlanski. Gerald Westphal has become a co-owner of a swimming pool, Leonard Mendrick being the owner. Looking in the pool, we see the great Olympic swimming stars, Misses Karen Barnes and Mary Hoole. Michael Dobbelaero has become a sergeant in the Army, with some of his latest recruits being James Mason, Thomas Diebol, and Nash Antonio. They look like very good prospects. Speaking of prospects, Lloyd Henrion and Terrance Uchwat have become prospectors in the Rocky Mountains. So far they have mined ten tons of dirt, amounting to ten cents "Try, try again, boys". As we pass a magnificent stand, owned by David Gubert and Tim McNarney, we find the latest in up-to-date clothing magazine, edited and designed by Patricia Maher. One of her outstanding models being Claudia Seitz. Carolyn Szczpanski and Margaret Konopka have gone together an written a book on the stars. Margaret being the author and Carolyn the astronomer. Margaret Flavin and Barbara Meyer are the first girls running for the presidency. "Good Luck" to Carol Marka, their publicity agent. On our way back to the airport, we meet Stanley Lemanek, our chauffeur, who gave us a quick report about Hubert Meier and Daniel York who have made themselves famous in the field of sports. As the plane takes off, we say good bye to Ronald Lackey and David Carroll who are touring the world as great magicians and wave to Fred Smola, the well known-millionaire.

Class History - Room 1

As we, the graduating class of '62 leave St. Norbert's, we gaze over our past years. It all began on Sept. 5, 1956 with High Mass in honor of the Holy Spirit. Our first year found us in third grade, room 2, and kind Mrs. Labadie as our teacher. On Oct. 1 of our first school year our girls were privileged to wear a school uniform bearing the initials of our school. It consists of a white blouse and a green skirt. It was on Nov. 13 that we were put to the test - an open house. We were fortunate that year on May 14 to have Edward Cardinal Mooney bless our school. It came to pass that on June 11, 1957 we ended a very exciting first year at St. Norberts.

For our second year, we returned to school to good old room 2, fourth grade and Sister John Christine as our teacher. Two new classmates, Catherine Garcia and James O'Donnell came. It was on May 2 of 1958 that we found a new flag pole which was dedicated and blessed by Father Graven. A week or two later, we were proudly confirmed by Bishop Zaleski. School ended that year on June 10, 1958.
